Answer Roger, Here's an excerpt from the APP Repair Forum Posts that should help you out " You will need to remove the upper rack, and flip it over then install the water supply tube. Heres an excerpt from another servicer's post. " I removed the upper rack from the dishwasher by popping the two rack track stops out of the rack tracks. The old tube came off easily, and the new tube went on very nicely, after lubing each end with a dab of liquid dish soap. I put the rack back on its tracks , popped the track stops back in and my dishwasher was back in business." Good Luck and Thanks

The serial # of my kitchenaid dishwasher is FJ1802526 .The plastic/rubber cylinder that connects to the bottom side of the top rack and fits inside a plastic bracket is worn out due to age. The bracket/connector piece is fine it is just the cylinder with the flared lip I am looking to replace. I think it is called a water delivery tube AP292005?? My dishwasher is a 1997 model I believe.

Serial number on machine: fd3712218 I purchased this water delivery tube, part #AP2920005 for my dishwasher's upper rack water supply tube. Per the posts above, the tube fits fine on one end but doesn't fit at the end where the water enters the machine at the back of the machine in is the upper section. The tube has a sort of a flat figure eight shaped opening, and slightly pliable and the inlet that it needs to connect to is round. The diagram does not indicate any other parts needed. Other posts discuss a cone shaped piece that somehow connects the tube to the inlet. Could you please clarify...I'm hoping to fix this myself. Thanks.
