The water dispenser drips occasionally and I'd like to repair it but can't find the part number I need.
Answer Tom, Check and make sure the water filter isn't clogged or dirty, check and make sure all the tube connections are tight and you have at least 32 psi on the water supply line at the fill valve. If all's OK, order two(2) 8201815 check valve connectors. Install one connector on the water tube reservoir where it exits the refrigerator compartment. and one on the water tube where it exits the bottom of the freezer door.
Great video on replacing water lever, but am worried it could be something else that's wrong. Am getting ice made so hope that means it's not the actuator, and can't find a video about it being a solenoid. Old Kenmore here, 10657577791, and can't really afford to be wrong. It's probably the lever, right?
And thank you for all your videos, you've saved me a couple times!
If the unit is not dispensing water then the first thing to check would be the bracket for the dispenser. The bracket holds the switches that activate the water and the ice. If the bracket pins for the switch have broken where the switch is just hanging there then the unit will not dispense water as it will just push the switch and not activate it. This would be the most common reason for not dispensing water for your unit. The part number for the bracket is 2180226.
