Answer Hello Paul, You will want to pull the pump and check to make sure that there are no obstructions in the drain pump. If it checks clear and the vanes are in good shape on the impeller then you would want to check the large hose on the bottom of the tub for debris that would allow water to not drain properly.

Answer Randy, It actually sounds more like a spin/extraction issue, than a drain problem. You may want to run the washer through a cycle, without any load. Check and make sure the tub drains ( it has to drain, before the tub will spin), and if the tub does spin, and increases speed (approx. 640 rpm) after approximately 60 to 90 seconds. Raise and lower the loading lid and closely listen for the lid switch to "click" when opened and closed. Answer Kay, You probably won't find very much information on this style washer, but you're halfway there. Once you have the belt removed, you'll need to remove the hose clamp on the drain hose and tub to pump hose from the drain pump. remove the two 1/2 in hex head screws that mount the pump to the transmission case. and tilt the pump assembly up slightly and slide the drain lever out from underneath the cutout in the transmission lifter arm. Remeber to align the rubber coverred lever on the new pump the same as the lever on the old pump and reverse the mounting process, and install the new belt according to the instructions. Answer Hello Dana. Check and see if the pump is bad and needs to be replaced. If there is power to it and it is not clogged, but does not pump out, you will need to replace the pump in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Answer Hello Gil. Based on the information you provided, you will need to check and see if the lid switch 8318084 is bad on the unit. If so, you will need to replace the lid switch assembly. Hope this helps.
