I am trying to bypass the factory filter and put one behind the refrigerator what can be used to accomplish this? Thanks.

Answer Steve, to bypass the current filter you will remove the filter and put the filter cap 2186494B back on. You will need a reverse osmosis system to filter the home water going to the refrigerator. Thanks!
