I need to replace the water inlet valve. How do I remove the back cover of model #110.82692120? Thank you.
To access the water valve, you will first need to turn off water supply and disconnect power to the unit. There will be 2 screws on the corners of the control panel that you will loosen to lift the panel. Once lifted there are 2 clips that you use a flat blade screw driver to pry off. Once off disconnect the wire harness that is connected from the control panel to the main top. Grab the back of the main top and cabinet assembly and pull off. You will be able to access the valve.
After removing the back panel, what are the steps for removing and replacing the inlet valve? Is there a way to clean the existing valve?
Answer Hi Susan. There is no way to "clean" the inlet valve. You can try to flush out the inlet screens, but the sediment is internally damaging the valve. Remove the 2-rear screws on the control panel or use a putty knife on the front bottom corners of the control panel to pull and "roll" up and back the control panel. Then you will disconnect the lid switch. With a screwdriver unclip the wavy rear clips that hold the cabinet to the base. Lift up the lid and put your hand in the front top opening of the cabinet. Then lift up and remove the cabinet by pulling backwards. This will give you access to the inlet valve. You will shut off the fill hose's and remove from the valve itself. Remove the fill hose from the water valve. Remove all elect. connectors. Remove the 1/4" screw from the back panel holding the valve in. Then lift out and replace the valve. The assembly is in the reverse procedures just explained. Thank you.
Same question as above but for model 110-92292100. How to remove the back cover? I need to replace the water inlet valve.
Answer Hello SleeperSS. You will need to disconnect the power to the unit. Then remove the two screws in the front corners of the control panel and flip the control panel backward. Next unplug the lid switch and remove the two brass colored clips from the washer. Pull the cabinet forward and slide the cabinet off the unit. Now you can access the back panel to change the water valve 3357901. Hope this helps.
