My ice maker on my kennmore model 106.56539400 fridge does not dispense water in the ice tray. I put a new filter on and that did not help. The drinking water works fine. I checked the water outlet in the freezer it was not frozen. If it is the water inlet valve how do I get to it to check ?

I have no water to the glass fill, but I do have water to the ice maker and it makes all the ice I need. What is wrong here and what parts do I need to replace.

I came home one day to find my icemaker was pouring water all over my freezer and consequently my kitchen floor. Any idea what caused that? We just shut it off and are using bag ice. Is there a part we need to replace or do we need to replace the entire unit?

Water runs slow out of water dispenser, water line is good no leaks ,kinks, good pressure, removed water filter and had same water pressure (slow). What might be the fix, can it be the water inlet valve? Thanks.

My water dispenser does not always shut off when it is released and continues to drip after releasing the lever. I have pulled (lightly of coarse) on the lever to see if it was still depressed, but the water continues to drip. If you release the lever abruptly it will sometimes shut off or not drip quite as much. The ice maker is also dripping into the ice tray after dumping the ice and refilling. It appears to be overfilling. Could it be the valve is not closing completely allowing the normal water preassure to cause the leak? Both problems were noticed around the same time. The filter is changed about every 6 months. The water here is pretty hard. Hard water mineral build up??? There has been no noticable change in water flow. As far as I know the water presure in our Parish has not increased.

I changed the water filter on my Whirlpool side by side. When I went to run water from the dispenser, it would not shut off for about 30 seconds. Testing it some more, even if I run it for a few seconds and release, it runs for several more seconds. It did not do this before I changed the filter. It seems an odd coincidence.
