Cold water on my washing machine is not coming out but if I switch to hot ,hot water come out. It could be water temp. switch the problem pls. help

Answer Hello Ernie. Check and make sure the screens on the valve and if there are any in the hoses are clear and the cold water flows good. If so, you will test for power coming to the water valve. If there is power there, and the water does not come out, you will need to replace the water valve 285805 on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. What determines the water temperature in my machine? All rinses are supposed to be cold, but sometimes the water is hot. When I select a wash cycle temperature sometime I get what I selected; sometimes not. For example, today I selected hot wash. The wash water was cold and so was the rinse. For my first wash, the rinse water was hot.

Answer Hello Mcooper. The water valve uses a thermisot for this. If the unit is acting up like you are describing, you will need to replace the water valve 3979346 on the unit.
