About a year ago, my Maytag Neptuen clothes washer experienced a high-speed spin deficit, which I resolved (given that the R11 resistor on the control board was not burned) with a wax motor. Now, my washer repetitiously stops throughout its cycle and never accomplishes its end-of-cycle high-speed spin. The R11 remains unburned and I have no perceivable deficit of water flow--the washer's water service is softened. Having read a number of other queries and responses, I'm torn between ordering and replacing the water valve (22002795) or the control board (22002989) or, is there some other potential defect of which I'm ignorant.

I am a retired Mechanial Engineer I have keep this Neptune washer running I have had it apart and spread all over the garage when I rented a Tony tool and replaced the bearings. Now 8 months post the bearing job it just shuts off, sometimes during first five seconds but mostly on the 2nd rinse and extra rinse of course I suspected the water valve so I took it out and the continuity was fine. I removed and have cleaned all connections and have check for restrictions. I even took out the pumps disassembled and cleaned. The machine when it runs it runs great except the old lady is just wants new with all the steam toys. 2 years ago I fixed the control board got the parts at R Shack. It just bothers me I can not fix it. I guess I will just put in a new water valve and pressure switch. What do you think. In 42 years of marrage this is the third set of Maytags but these Neptunes have been a challange. Maytag should have sent me a free set for the R & D in the field they might not have gone belly up. For some reason I just like these Neptunes. Please Advise.

My MAH4000AWW fills fine, a lot of water pressure. Once the timer moves to the first rinse cycle and goes to fill the water trickles in very slowly eventually the tub does not fill within a certain amount of time the safety mechanism kicks in and stops the washer. I have checked and removed both inlet screen (clean). I have done continuity checks on the coils of the inlet valves and they seem to be okay. The Control board show know signs of burnt components. I have kind of narrowed it down to either control board or Inlet valves. Is there a definitive test I do to isolate the problem? or could it be something else? Thanks in advance.

How do you get to the water valve to check if the screens are clogged? Do you need to remove parts of the rear cabinet? (My Neptune stops at each stage of the rinse cycle, both for cold or hot wash, but continues normally if I keep pushing the start button)

My Neptune washer stops at two points during the fill cycle and then during the rinse cycle. Once the start button is pushed, the washer functions normally. I spoke with a local tech who suggested the problem might be that the washer is filling too slowly and that the washer automatically shuts down. Recently, I noticed that the detergent was not being completely washed into the system indicating that the flow was restricted. Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks in advance!
