Answer Hello Edmundo G. Yes, you will need to repalce the water valve on the unit to fix the issue with the water valve in the unit if it is leaking. You can remove the line from the valve to check and see if it is leaking.

Answer Hello Jay, Based on information it sounds like your water valve 4318046 is seeping causing water to seep through and cause overflowing of icemaker.

Answer Hello Cedric, It is possible that the water valve could be faulty. You may want to check to make sure that the dispenser lever is making contact with switch. This is possible by removing the front cover of dispenser. Once off then yu would want to push on the lever and look and listen to see if the lever makes contact with switch. If the switch makes contact then you can do a voltage check at the valve to make sure there is power getting to it. You should have 120vac when the dispenser lever is pressed at the water valve dispenser side. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
