Description

Made by Whirlpool. Fits many brands. This icemaker replaces most Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and Sears Kenmore (with model prefix 106) brand icemakers. Kit includes wiring harness, mounting hardware and instructions. No longer includes bail arms. Use this kit when replacing an exsisting icemaker. This model does not fit refrigerators that have the ice auger assembly mounted on the door and the electronic sensor to sense ice level.

Made by Whirlpool. Whirlpool brands include Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others.

Water is coming out of freezer and running onto floor. Unit just makes 1 or 2 cubes at a time. Can you help?

Answer Hello Ken. It sounds like you may have two problems here. You will need to check and see if the drain is clogged up in the freezer. If so, you will need to thaw it out and clean it out with hot water and a turkey bastor. As for the low ice production, if you have changed the filter and it is good, then you will need to change the water valve W10408179. Hope this helps.

I just installed a new ice maker and the water isn't running into the ice maker yet is it because it is not cooled off yet.

Answer John, Give the unit approximately 1 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs for the icemaker to cycle to see if water comes into the unit.

6 months ago the ice maker stopped making ice. I unplugged the refrigerator & turned off the water coming to it. I removed the part on the back, bottom right corner where the water line connects. I cleaned the part and put it back on. The ice maker worked for the past 6 months until 4 days ago, when it stopped again. What do you think the problem is? Thank you.

Answer Hello Jburke. Check and see if the fill tube is frozen on the unit. If so, you will want to make sure the temp in the freezer is 0° and that the water valve does not have a slow leak. If it does, replace the water valve on the unit.
