Why does the jumper wire from the thermostat to the heater element overheat and burn thru? Is there a related problem or just vibration and burn thru?

Answer Hello Jack. It sounds like you may have had a bad crimp on the wire and you will need to replace the wire Y307173. Check and make sure the vent is good on the dryer and not causing it to get to hot.
