We attempt to make bread following the instructions to a tee. Each time the mixer overheats and stops during the last stage. After a few times one or more gears in the drive train are stripped and must be replaced. I have replaced them multiple times. Did they simply lie when describing the capabilities of this product? Or is there a flaw in a component that I am missing? Is it worth trying to replace the whole drive train? Or do I just give up on KitchenAid/Whirlpool products? I'm extremely frustrated as I can usually fix this type of thing.

The mixer we have is model # KP26M1XPM. I see that you have this number in your parts except they have either a # 4or 5 after the model number. Mine does not have this. Where does this end number come from? Thanks, Dennis
