Dawgfan for Model Number Samsung RS275ACRS Our refrigerator started having a clear/whitish particles from the water dispenser. No other water source has these. I read that the chemicals used in some water treatment facilities can cause the molded plastic refrigerator water reservoirs to break down resulting in white or whitish particles appearing as flakes, flecks or specs in the dispensed chilled water, and that the reservoir could be replaced (although it might just break down again?) or even be replaced with a coil of tubing. Have you heard of this problem, and would you recommend this replacement reservoir or a tubing alternative?
Answer Dawgfan, there are components in water that can cause this issue and the proper repair would be replacing the manufacturer's recommended reservoir as it often collects and affects this specific part more than the rest of the water system.
