By: Whirlpool
Part Number: OEM18041907
Manufacturer Part Number: WP9757341

This electric broil element mounts at the top of the oven cavity to deliver direct radiant heat for broiling and finishing. Replacing a failed element restores strong, even top heat so foods brown properly and Broil works as designed.

  • Supplies top-of-oven radiant heat during the Broil cycle for searing and browning
  • Replaces a burned-out or cracked element that no longer heats
  • Common symptoms: no heat in Broil, weak/uneven top browning, visible breaks or blistering, or tripping the breaker when Broil is selected
What's included: 1 broil element Install notes:
  • Turn off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool completely before service
  • Remove oven racks; take out the element's mounting screws, gently pull the element forward, and disconnect the two spade terminals—support wires so they don't retract into the insulation
  • Transfer any mounting hardware from the old element if needed; reconnect terminals fully, secure the element, restore power, and test Broil
  • Inspect terminals/wiring for heat damage and replace compromised connectors before reassembly
