Larry L. for Model Number 2188542 I bought a water valve and it does not have the quick release valves on it. I've looked in my home town but have not found anything that will work. It has pipe threads on it. Can I order something on line? Thanks!
Answer Hello Larry, The water valves with threads have to have compression nuts to install. The old ones were all like this and you would use the nuts off of the old valve to install them. The part number for the 1/4 inch nut is WP627018. This is the one that leads up to the icemaker. The 5/16 inch plastic compression nut is no longer available without purchasing a 5/16 to 5/16 compression union. This will get you two of the 5/16 nuts for a dollar more than the 1/4 inch nut costs.
