Safety precautions
When working on any appliance, there are some important safety precautions to follow. Keep these safety tips in mind as you replace the bearing slide:
- Before starting any repair work, unplug the dryer from the power outlet or turn off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the machine.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including safety goggles or glasses to protect your eyes from any debris or small parts that may fly during the repair process. Wearing work gloves can also protect your hands from sharp edges or potential injury while handling parts.
- Metal parts may have sharp edges, so please exercise caution while working around them to avoid cuts or scrapes. Take extra care when handling metal parts or using tools around these areas.
- If you encounter resistance or difficulty during any step of the repair, avoid using excessive force. Forcing parts can lead to appliance damage or personal injury.
