The crisper cover frame is the plastic frame assembly on the bottom front of the fresh food compartment. It holds the glass panel in place and also serves as the front cover for the crisper drawers.
If the frame cracks or breaks, it can cause the glass to loosen or detach and prevent the crisper drawers from opening correctly.

What you need
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Large flat-blade screwdriver
- Small flat-blade screwdriver
- Replacement Samsung crisper cover frame (part # DA63-04281A)
Remember to unplug the fridge before disassembling any components!

1. Remove the crisper drawers
To access the crisper cover frame, we need to:
- Pull out both crisper drawers from the bottom of the fridge. Lift up slightly as you pull to detach them from the glide rails.
- Next, detach the crisper cover assembly. Press down on the cover to release the support tab and slide it forward.
2. Detach the old cover frame
With the drawers cleared out, we can now take apart the old cover frame.
- Place the assembly on a flat surface.
- Remove the support bar by pressing the locking tabs on each side.
- Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry out the glass retainers in each corner carefully. Support the glass as you detach them.
- Lift the glass panel out from the front. Carefully set it aside.
- Flip the frame over.
- Remove the four Phillips screws to unscrew the reinforcement bar.
- Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to detach the sliders on each side by pressing down the release tabs.
- Remove the old crisper cover frame and discard it.

3. Install the new cover frame
- Insert the new sliders into the frame, aligning the handles into the slots properly. Press them in until they click.
- Attach the reinforcement bar underneath using the two supplied Phillips screws.
- Flip the frame over and install the glass panel into the front slots. Press the retainers back into the corners firmly.
- Snap the support bar back into place by aligning the tabs into the openings.

4. Reinstall the crisper assembly
- Slide the crisper cover frame assembly back onto the tracks inside the fridge compartment.
- Lock the bottom support tab back into place by pressing down on the cover slightly as you push it back.
- Replace both crisper drawers by inserting them back into their tracks and pushing them in fully.
5. Last steps
- Check that the glass panel and support bar are secure.
- Make sure the drawers open smoothly.
- Carefully close the refrigerator doors.
- Plug the fridge back in and power it up.
