Once both clips are released, pull the panel out and set it aside.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Temove the two quarter-inch screws that hold the top of the washer to the cabinet.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open up the console and disconnect the wire harness for the lid switch. Press on the connectors to release them and separate the two parts. Lay the console back in place.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lift the top of the washer slightly forward to release it from the tabs, then lift it up and angle it out to remove it from the machine.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place a towel on top of the washer to protect the surface. Set the top of the washer on the towel, allowing easy access to the lid switch.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before removing the lid switch, disconnect the wire harness attached to it. Lift the top carefully, hold it up, and use a small pair of pliers to release the wire harness clip. Push the clip through the hole and pull it out from the backside. Once released, set the top back down.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw holding the lid switch assembly in place. Then, use a flathead screwdriver to release the two clips on one end of the assembly, which are connected to the magnet underneath. Lift that side of the assembly slightly and pull it off the top of the washer.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<b>Installation\u00a0<\/b>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Align the new lid switch assembly with the screw opening and snap it into place. Secure it by using a Phillips screwdriver to put the screw back in.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Route the wire harness up and secure it in place with the provided clip. Lift the top, turn it over, and place it back on the washer. Make sure that the tabs on the top align with the corresponding openings on the washer's body.
