Once the two lower tabs are released, lift up on the cover to release the tabs on the top.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Locate the small wiring harness and lift up on the clip to unplug the harness.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the front cover removed, you can now remove the smaller panel to access the ice dispenser lever.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There should be two Phillips screws holding the panel in place. Remove these screws.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lift the panel up and tape it in place. You can use masking tape or any other type of tape to secure it to keep it out of the way.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Locate the ice dispenser lever. To remove it, start by removing the quarter-inch screw that holds a little spring tension and secures the right side of the lever. Be careful not to lose any parts.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lift up on the lever and pull it out of its resting spot.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the pin from the left side of the door. Slowly work the lever out of its position.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the lever is partially removed, reach up and disconnect the black barrel that holds it in place. The barrel is held in place by tension. Pass the barrel through the arm of the lever.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compare the old ice dispenser lever with the new one. You may notice a redesign on one end of the new lever, but the top part should be the same.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To change the lever, remove the clear plastic piece from the old lever. It should have a couple of locking tabs on the back. Pop these tabs off.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place the clear plastic piece on the new lever, making sure that the hook part goes into the corresponding hole, and snap it into place.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insert the new lever by first passing the black barrel through the middle of it.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Push the lever back up into its mounting hole.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carefully wrap the lever around the door so that it is properly positioned.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If necessary, use a small screwdriver to stretch out the lever and fit it around the plastic piece.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the lever is wrapped around the door, press the left side into the hole and secure the right side in its resting spot.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Start by getting the screw started on the spring tensioner. Insert the little spacer. Tighten the screw to secure the lever in place.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the tape from the upper piece and reinstall the screws to secure it.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before putting the front cover back on, make sure that when you press the lever, it activates the switch located at the top.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This switch is responsible for turning on the ice dispenser.
