This pulley helps maintain tension on the belt. Slide the old belt out from the dryer.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inspect the new replacement drum belt and note how it differs from the worn, old one. Pull it towards you to release tension.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With your other hand, loop the belt around the idler pulley, making sure it isn't twisted.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Still holding the idler pulley, wrap the belt around the motor drive pulley as well.<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Carefully release the idler pulley to tension the belt. Ensure the belt is seated correctly around each pulley and the drum.<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spin the drum manually to confirm the smooth operation.
