Begin by getting them started and then pull the panel off.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disconnect the wire harnesses by untwisting the little holders and extracting the wires. Find the release tab on each harness, press it, and disconnect the wires.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lift the control panel slightly, lean it forward, and feed the disconnected wires through the hole. Once clear, completely remove the control panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open the washer door and remove the clamp that holds the gasket in place. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to carefully pry off the spring located at the bottom of the gasket. Lift the spring out of the groove, going all the way around the door to release the gasket.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Move the gasket away from the front panel to create space. Reach behind the door switch and disconnect the wire harness from the switch by pressing the release tab and pulling it off.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close the washer door and use a small flat-head screwdriver to open the small access panel located nearby. It should come off easily as there are no fasteners holding it in place.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the screw that secures the trim on this panel using a Phillips screwdriver. Once the screw is out, the trim can be pulled out, allowing the drain plug to pass through it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the trim removed, locate and remove the Phillips screw that holds the front panel in place.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the four screws across the top of the front panel using a Phillips screwdriver. Take out the last screw carefully, as removing it will allow you to lift the front panel off the washer.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the front panel removed, you now have access to the thermistor, which is located on the bottom of the tub next to the heater.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use wire cutters to cut the zip tie holding the thermistor in place. Release the wire harness clip and pull the thermistor out from the tub.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Installation<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Install the new thermistor assembly by sliding it into position and pushing it in securely.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reconnect the wire harness to the new thermistor assembly and secure the wires with a new zip tie. Trim the excess zip tie with wire cutters.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reassemble the washer by placing the front panel back onto the washer, ensuring it aligns with the three tabs. Avoid pinching any hoses and insert and tighten the four screws to secure the front panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reinstall the cover assembly by first putting in the screw that holds the front panel to it. Then, position the trim assembly and snap it into place. Feed the drain hose through the hole and secure it with the screw.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place the front access panel back on and snap it closed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reach behind the door gasket and reconnect the wire harness to the switch. Pull the gasket out and attach it to the front panel, making sure it fits into the groove so that it can be secured with the spring clamp.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Position the spring clamp with the spring at the six o&#8217;clock position. Stretch the clamp around the gasket, ensuring it is properly seated. Use vise grips to stretch the spring further if needed. Be careful to pull straight back to avoid detaching the gasket.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Close the washer door.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reinstall the console by feeding the wires through the hole in the back panel and rotating the console into place. Snap it in securely.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reconnect the wires to the main wire harness by snapping them together and ensuring they lock.
