If the temperature in your home is cooler, resistance would be subtracted.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Measure the resistance across both terminals of the bake element.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A normal reading should be between 17 and 20 ohms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the reading is significantly different or displays &#8220;OL&#8221; (open line), the bake element is faulty and must be replaced.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 4.
