If the temperature in your home is cooler, resistance would be subtracted.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep the washer unplugged before testing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Set a multimeter to Resistance (\u03a9) mode, indicated by a horseshoe-like symbol.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insert one probe into the Blue wire slot of the stator plug.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insert the second probe into the Red wire slot of the stator plug.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check for a resistance reading between 5 and 15 Ohms. If within range, the winding is good.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep the first probe in the Blue slot and move the second probe to the Yellow slot.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check for a resistance reading between 5 and 15 Ohms. If within range, the winding is good.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Move the first probe from the Blue slot to the Red slot and test again.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check for a resistance reading between 5 and 15 Ohms. If within range, the winding is good.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If any winding shows an open circuit or a resistance outside the expected range, replace the stator.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 3.
