Carefully unplug the user interface harness wires.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rotate the console forward, lift it, and set it aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the door lock. Open the washer door. Take out the two screws securing the door lock to the front panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Release the door gasket. Use your flathead screwdriver to pry off the spring securing the gasket.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fold the gasket back inside the drum.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the drain pump cover. Open the cover and remove the Phillips screws.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Move the cover aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disconnect the drain tube from its mounting bracket and push it into the panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the front panel. Take out the Phillips screw located just behind the drain cover.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the screws from the top of the panel.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rotate the panel forward, lift it, and set it aside.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remove the back access panel. Unscrew and lift away the rear panel to expose the shock absorbers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 2: Checking for Shock Absorber Damage<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now that you have access, inspect each shock absorber.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Look at the bushings: These rubber ends commonly wear down, leading to poor compression.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Test compression: Push each absorber by hand. If one compresses much more easily than the others, it has failed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check for separation: If the shaft has pulled away from the piston chamber, the absorber must be replaced.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If one absorber has failed, it\u2019s strongly recommended to replace all of them. This keeps the washer balanced and prevents uneven wear.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 3: Removing the Old Shock Absorber<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you\u2019ve identified the faulty absorber, it\u2019s time to remove it.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Use your flathead screwdriver to press into the locking tabs of the hinge pin.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pull the pin out of the tub connection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat the process for the pin at the base where the absorber connects to the frame.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pull the absorber out completely.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat the process for each absorber if you\u2019re replacing them all.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 4: Installing the New Shock Absorber<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Position the new shock absorber at the base of the tub.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insert the pin through the mounting holes and lock it into place.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat the process at the frame connection with the second pin.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure both ends are secure and properly seated.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repeat the installation process for all shock absorbers being replaced.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Step 5: Reassembling the Washer<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the new shock absorbers installed, it\u2019s time to put everything back together.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reinstall the rear panel and secure it with screws.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reattach the front panel.
