Pry it open to loosen it.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Release the locking tab and pull the clamp out.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turn the diverter valve clockwise to unlock it from the tabs. You don&#8217;t have to turn it too far &#8211;\u00a0 just enough to release it.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once the valve is released, pull down on it to remove it from the sump.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Step 5 &#8211; Install the new diverter valve<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the original clamp can\u2019t be reused, you&#8217;ll need to put a new clamp on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slide the new clamp onto the rubber fitting, positioning it a little higher than needed.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tighten the clamp down with a quarter-inch nut driver. Place it at an angle to tighten it easier. Make sure it&#8217;s snug but not overly tight.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Spray the inside of the diverter valve with water to help slide it onto the seal.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Push the new seal onto the sump. Make sure the seal fits into the groove on the sump to hold it in place.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lift the diverter valve and lock it back into place. Don&#8217;t worry about putting the circulation pump into the diverter valve &#8211; that will be done from the other side.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lock the diverter valve in place and plug in the wiring harness.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Step 6 &#8211; Reconnect the circulation pump motor<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to the other side of the dishwasher and reconnect the circulation pump motor to the sump.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fit the pump onto the sump body fitting and twist it so the diverter valve assembly fitting goes up into it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Return to the other side of the dishwasher. Loosen the clamp, let it drop down, and tighten it back up at the base of the fitting for a good seal.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Step 7 &#8211; Reinstall the insulation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Set the insulation back in place and unfold it so it lines up with the dishwasher and fits into the clips on the left-hand side that hold it onto the water-fill assembly.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Step 8 &#8211; Reposition the dishwasher<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reach underneath and thread the lines through the cabinets.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Push the dishwasher in about halfway, then go under the sink to check that the lines are not caught on anything.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once everything is clear, push the dishwasher in the rest of the way.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><strong>Step 9 &#8211; Reconnect the lines under the sink<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reconnect the drain hose to the air gap.
