Remove the freezer door.<\/li>\n<li>Lift up on the door to release the hinge hooks, then gently pull the door forward to detach the rear mounting hooks. Set the door off to the side.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Remove interior components<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove the left side rail assembly. Disconnect the connector plug, then take out the three Phillips screws securing the assembly. Be careful with the rear locking tab as you maneuver it out.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the upper freezer tray left side support and air duct cover. Both are secured with Phillips screws and locking tabs that need to be released.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the same process to detach the right side rail support bracket.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Detach the evaporator cover panel<\/h3>\n<p>The evaporator coil, defrost control assembly, and other components are housed behind the rear access panel. Here&#8217;s how to detach it:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Release the locking tabs on the outer edges of the panel with your fingers.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully pull the panel off the rear wall. Hold the panel gently &#8211; don&#8217;t let it drop! Set it to the side.<\/li>\n<li>There are several wire connectors on the top. Unplug these.
