Set this aside to reuse later.<\/li>\n<li>Detach the drain pump from the sump.<\/li>\n<li>Lift the old drain pump up and out of the dishwasher base.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 &#8211; Install the new drain pump<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attach the counterweight using the two 1\/4-inch screws and wrench to provide balance.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully insert the new drain pump into the sump. Press it firmly into place.<\/li>\n<li>Reattach the drain hose to the outlet port and tighten the clamp securely with the 5\/16-inch nut driver.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the electrical wiring to the terminals.
