Set it aside.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2 &#8211; Detach the ice maker assembly<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove the three Phillips screws holding the front cover panel of the ice maker compartment.<\/li>\n<li>Loosen &#8211; but do not remove &#8211; the top panel screw.<\/li>\n<li>Slowly pull off the cover panel.<\/li>\n<li>Detach the wire harness plug connector.<\/li>\n<li>Take out the single screw and ground wire at the top right. Unwrap the wiring.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the temperature sensor by gently prying it off.<\/li>\n<li>Unplug the wire harness.<\/li>\n<li>Take out the two Phillips screws at the bottom corners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3 &#8211; Remove the old ice maker &amp; install the new one<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lift the front of the old ice maker, rotate it outward and slide it off the mounting hooks in the back.<\/li>\n<li>Flip the old ice maker over and remove the small screw on the back to fully detach it from the cover panel.<\/li>\n<li>Install the new ice maker by sliding it onto the mounting hooks and rotating it inward.<\/li>\n<li>Replace the small screw on the backside to secure the new ice maker to the cover panel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4 &#8211; Reinstall the ice maker assembly<\/h3>\n<p>Now reassemble the ice maker housing with the new part installed:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure the new ice maker&#8217;s wire harness runs through the top of the cover panel before reattaching it.<\/li>\n<li>Plug the connector into the new ice maker. Make sure it clicks into place.<\/li>\n<li>Reinstall the temperature sensor and plug it into the main wire harness.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap and tape down all the loose wiring to secure it.<\/li>\n<li>Align the cover panel and press it into place. Replace the three Phillips screws.<\/li>\n<li>Reconnect the wire harness plug you removed earlier.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finish up<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Slide the ice bucket back into place with the top going in first. Press the bottom in to lock it.<\/li>\n<li>Plug the fridge back in and reconnect the water supply.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the power switch on the new ice maker to the ON position.
