(You only need to remove four screws to let the panel hang loose.)<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the touchpad wiring and allow the control panel to hang down safely.<\/li>\n<li>Lift off the outer door panel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6: Remove the dishwasher from the cabinets<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tilt the dishwasher forward to access the two screws along the back of the bottom.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the screws with a Torx driver.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully pull the dishwasher out and feed any wiring or drain hoses still attached through at this point. You may need to temporarily detach the wiring to completely remove the unit.<\/li>\n<li>Lay the dishwasher on its back.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7: Detach door springs and cables<\/h3>\n<p>With access to the underside, you can now detach the door springs and cables. The door needs to be removed so you can remove the outer tub.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use needle nose pliers to detach the spring cables from the door hinges on both sides.<\/li>\n<li>Slide off the cable guide sleeves from the mounting posts.<\/li>\n<li>At the bottom, use pliers to unscrew the tension adjusters counterclockwise until the cables detach.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 8: Remove the bottom panel and insulation<\/h3>\n<p>Underneath the dishwasher, find an access panel held on with two Phillips screws. This will free up the sump assembly.<\/li>\n<li>Set the dishwasher upright so you can access the old sump.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 10: Remove the spray arm and filter<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reach into the tub and detach the lower spray arm by lifting it off the mounting.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the filter basket.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 11: Disconnect the wiring and hoses<\/h3>\n<p>Underneath the dishwasher, you&#8217;ll find all the wiring and drain hoses connected to the sump assembly. These need to be disconnected.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove the three wiring plugs.<\/li>\n<li>Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to release the locking tabs on each connector.<\/li>\n<li>Detach the drain hose from the sump outlet.<\/li>\n<li>Slide up the locking collar with a flat-blade screwdriver.<\/li>\n<li>Disconnect the water inlet housing by releasing the locking tab with a screwdriver.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 12: Remove the circulation motor<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Release the wiring plug and slide off the hose clamp.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the motor by releasing the locking tab and rotating it counterclockwise. Set it aside.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 13: Detach the turbidity sensor<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find the turbidity sensor (the round part protruding from the side).<\/li>\n<li>Carefully release the locking tab on the sensor with a flat-blade screwdriver.<\/li>\n<li>Rotate the sensor counterclockwise to unscrew it from the sump.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 14: Remove the old sump assembly<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove the four Torx T20 screws that hold the assembly in place.<\/li>\n<li>Carefully maneuver the sump to detach it from the inlet tube.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the drain pump and suction cap attached to the old sump.
