Pop the switch out and use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the wires.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat the same process for the switch on the right, which has the double white wire and double white wire with the red stripe.<\/li>\n<li>Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the upper screw that holds the housing in place.<\/li>\n<li>Pull the housing off the dishwasher.<\/li>\n<li>Disassemble the new door interlock switch by releasing the tabs and removing the cover.<\/li>\n<li>Lift the cover off and set it aside.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the plunger and the spring from the new switch. Be careful not to lose the spring.<\/li>\n<li>Take out the switches from the new switch with a small flathead screwdriver.<\/li>\n<li>Use a Phillips screwdriver to attach the base of the new switch to the door. Make sure the wires aren\u2019t caught behind the body before you tighten the screw all the way.<\/li>\n<li>Connect the wires, starting with the ones on the right. Connect the double white wire to one connector and the double white wire with the red stripe to the other connector.<\/li>\n<li>Set the new switch in place and make sure the wires go through their designated cutouts.<\/li>\n<li>Install the switch on the other side. Connect the double black wire to one connector and the black wire with a white stripe to the other connector.<\/li>\n<li>Put the plunger back into the door latch.<\/li>\n<li>Open the door slightly to avoid hitting the plunger and make sure the flat side of the plunger is facing the inside of the dishwasher. The cutout on the plunger should align with the rib in the body.<\/li>\n<li>Place the cover back on the switch, align it and snap it into place.<\/li>\n<li>Insert and tighten the lower screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Push the switch over to align the screw hole.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the towel that you placed earlier.<\/li>\n<li>Put the control panel back on. Line it up and connect the ribbon cable to the control board.
