The polarity doesn&#8217;t matter here.<\/li>\n<li>Remount the locking clip on the shaft to hold the new switch.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Put the range back together<\/h3>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Position the control panel back over the cooktop element supports.<\/li>\n<li>Reconnect any wiring plugs and ease the panel back into place.<\/li>\n<li>Replace all the control panel screws along the outer edge.<\/li>\n<li>Reinstall the control knobs and glass display panel if you have one.<\/li>\n<li>Remount the control panel trim piece with its screws along the bottom oven door lip.<\/li>\n<li>Gently slide the cooktop back into place.
