How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP5806667 / WE01X20378 Control Knob

Yes, I replaced the broken knob. 

I ordered a control knob. 

Ordered a new knob from AppliacePartsPros.com 

Ordered a replacement control knob. 

Replaced the rotary start switch, which took less than 10 mins. 

Purchased new dryer belt. Watched a YouTube video and the video provided by AppliancePartsPros.com. Very helpful videos. 

Ordered new knob. Old dryer, hard to get knob. Repair went great! Part came within 24 hours! 

Replaced the timer and knob. Been using it since Saturday.. A thousands THANKS. 

Replaced the "Start" switch. 

Believe it or not, it was only a matter of replacing 2 x knobs. The engagement teeth on the washer selector knob had sheared off over time and thus the timer could not be advanced to START. The new knob and pin fixed that in 5min flat! The dryer START knob was cracked and it too wouldn’t engage to start the machine. Fitting a new knob fixed that in 60secs!
