How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP5983563 / EDR3RXD1 Whirlpool Everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter 3

Put in the filter. 

Replaced the Water Filter. Ordered two for around $100. 

Simple replacement pulled the old one out and slid the new Water Filter in. Worked perfectly. 

Replaced with a new Everydrop Refrigerator Water Filter. 

I watched the video on replacing the heater element, my unit differed in that the lower drawer guides were formed into the sides of the freezer. It was necessary to cut these guides off flush for the 1st 5 or 6" from the back of the guide to allow the evap to be tilted enough to remove/replace the element. But - the repair was successful, Ice maker working better than ever! 

Replaced old filter.

Replaced pump and motor assembly - PN WPW10780877. The only issue I had was that the video didn't mention I needed to disconnect the hardwired electrical connection. 

Replaced filter. I ordered a new cap along with a 3 pack of water filters. 

Replaced it.
