How to Troubleshoot & Replace Whirlpool AP6005780 / WP21001950 Motor Assembly

Installing the motor was a simple procedure anyone should be able to do. I want to say thank you to Appliance Parts Pros for the quick turn around on the order. I ordered the motor at approx. 12pm on monday with a 2 day shipment. Stop by home on tuesday at 11:30am and my package was already their. Saved a big headace with the wife.Kudos appliance Parts Pros. Replaced motor. The work was simple but in my case I spent more time cleaning the motor base plate and several screws because there was some rust and corrosion on them. 

Hardest part is verifying that the motor is your actual problem. After that the online how to video made it easy. Just like a new washer. For a little over $100 we were back in the laundry business. Calling a repair man would have been $300-$400.

Husband determined motor not working, and since we had never done maintenance we ordered a belt and thrust bearing kit along with the motor. Installation was helped along by watching videos. Spent less than $175 ands runs like new!
