A very warm Sunday afternoon in Florida and I was ready for a cold sweet tea. Went to the ice dispenser and nothing but a hum. Pulled out the ice tray and found the dispensing auger broken in three pieces. Manually filled my glass with ice and then opened up APP.com to look for a new auger. Entered my refrigerator model number and my refrigerator popped right up. Opened the ice dispenser diagram window and found my auger, part number 250. Went down to the parts listing and no #250. After a brief panic, I see the ice tray with auger is listed. Well, I guess I have to buy the tray and auger, still way better than an new refrigerator. . Placed my order and finished my tea.
Wednesday morning, just before lunch, the mailman honks his horn. Went out and retrieved my ice tray and auger. I opened the package and there was a complete tray, assembly. I was expecting to have to remove the old tray from the ice crusher assembly and disconnect the broken auger from the ice crusher and then install the new tray and auger. All I had to do was remove the protective plastic wrap and slide the entire assembly into the freezer. That afternoon, we were once again dispensing ice. Totally amazed at how easy everything was!
