How to replace Icemaker Assembly. I replaced the ice maker. I had to completely disassemble the old and new replacement ice maker. So I could swap the part that funnels the water to the tray. That piece was different and the ice maker would not fit up in its spot without swapping it. I also had to reuse the wiring sub harness because the new part had the wrong plug.
