First I took the knobs off the oven so no one would try to use the oven.
Then I turned off the circuit breaker, and removed the two screws (hex head) that hold the plate to the oven. Then I took off the two screws that connect the element to the wires.
I ordered on Monday and got part on Tuesday, which was very nice.
Putting the unit in went smoothly, using the new screws I ordered with the element.
