Hello Demetrios, As per the owners' manual, ice production is controlled by the ice maker’s On/Off icon on the control panel. Touch the “options” button to access the Options Menu on the control panel. Use "?” or "?” to select the icemaker. Then use “+” or “-” to select ON or OFF. Touch “set” to activate your choice. Turning off the ice maker simply disables ice making. You will still be able to dispense existing ice, and you will still be able to dispense water.

Our fridge, still makes the ice but it now melts together in the ice canister. At one point in time, there was a white plastic wire that was melted into the ice and it tore off when the auger turned. Not sure what we did with the white wire but what can I do to make it work again so that my ice will come out, Right now with it melting together the auger just keeps turning attempting to break up the ice and send it out but it just cant do it and I don't want to burn out the auger.

Hello Denise, Check if the ice chute flapper is closing after ice dispense,,also check if the ice fan located behind ice maker is running when ice maker is making ice, .Try to find out where that white wire connected or went to.It may be causing this problem.

Blouie, The issue with the sensor holder falling down would be caused by the clips on the icemaker not allowing the holder to hold in place. You could use a sealant of some sort that would hold the part in place or you would need to replace the icemaker.
