The Water Inlet Valve is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This part controls the flow of hot and cold water into the washer's tub, ensuring the correct temperature mix for various wash cycles. By opening and closing at the command of the washer's control system, it plays a pivotal role in the machine's ability to execute programmed wash cycles with precision, affecting everything from the initial fill to the rinse phases.

Causes for the replacement of the water inlet valve can range from mineral deposits and sediment build-up, which can obstruct the valve's flow, to mechanical wear and electrical failures affecting the valve's operation.

Symptoms of a malfunctioning Water Inlet Valve include:

  • The washer not filling with water
  • Water entering the machine slowly
  • The washer filling with the wrong water temperature

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Jerry, You would just need to remove the dispenser hose if you are unable to get the lower right-hand screw out. The hose should just be held on with a clamp.

Carol, The reason that the part is showing as not being compatible is that this valve is not on the frigidaire parts list and so it would not be considered compatible. We cannot say that this will work for the frigidaire model but you can certainly try to see if it is correct.

Celia, based on the information provided, the most likely issue would be the main control 134743500. This can be tested by activating a cycle and testing the valves for 120VAC (valve tested is based on water temperature selection). If the corresponding valve does not receive 120VAC, then the main control would be the issue. If the valve does receive 120VAC, then the valve 134371220 would be the issue.

Paul, Sorry, but, Replace the valve assembly. the fill hoses won't seat and tighten correctly, and you'll have a constant leak, sooner or later, causing more damage. This time, install the hose on the left first, hand tighten the connection, then add a 1/2 turn with a pair of pliers, then repeat the procedure for the hose on the right, turn on the faucets and check for drips or leaks(add 1/4 turn at a time if necessary) wait a few minutes then start the washer and let it fill, while checking for drips or leaks. Thanks,

Bill for Model Number WSSH300G1WW

The VALVE WATER ASM (WH13X10030) was cracked. The replacement part came with one black cover over the cold "nipple" that inserts directly into the dispenser. I've seen WH13X10030 part photos where this same black cover was on one side, both sides, or neither side. (A Google Image search of WH13X10030 will show all.) Confusing. Is this just a protective cover that should be removed from any/all sides before installation? Thanks for your help, in advance. Bill

1 Answer

Bill, Based on what you are describing the black piece would be a protective cover and would be removed before installation.
