1 Answer Walter, you may want to check the dispenser line to ensure that it is clear and that it is positioned properly (if the tubing had pressure applied where it comes out of the bottom of the door, it can cause improper alignment). If the unit was built between January 2003 and January 2007 and has a serial number between AF and AM then you would need to install the dispenser tube heater part number WR49X10173. 1 Answer Franny, To install this tube you will need to make sure that you have at least 1 5/16" to 5/16" adapter. You will then need to pull the unit out and shut the water off. Remove the cover over the compressor. remove the water valve and disconnect the tubing from the valve of the tube that split. Go to the front of the unit and remove the crisper drawers and crisper shelving. Cut pull the water line through that is split and cut it below where it connects to the water tank leaving enough room for the connector so about 2 to 3 inches left. Once this is done you connect the 5/16" connector to the tubing off the tank and the new tubing that you are installing and push through the floor and reconnect to the water valve. and reassembly the unit. John June 29, 2014 for Model Number GE tfx27fb refrigerator My issue is that the water dispenser seems to be draining back. I ce maker works fine. When you dispense water it takes 10 seconds to come out. If you wait 1 minute it will come out normally, if you wait 5 minutes it takes 5 seconds. I do not see a check or one way valve in any parts listings. Thank you, John
