The Lower Spray Arm is an OEM part for GE dishwashers, meticulously crafted to provide a direct replacement for the original component. This part is essential for ensuring that water is evenly distributed throughout the dishwasher during a cycle, reaching all dishes to effectively remove food debris and stains. The lower spray arm rotates and sprays water with precision, making it a critical element in achieving optimal cleaning performance.

Causes for these issues often stem from regular use, such as the accumulation of hard water minerals leading to clogs, or physical damage from improper loading of dishes. Ensuring that the Lower Spray Arm is in good condition and free from obstructions is vital for maintaining the dishwasher's efficiency and cleaning effectiveness.

Symptoms of a faulty Lower Spray Arm include:

  • Dishes remaining dirty or having spots after a wash cycle
  • Water not spraying evenly or with sufficient force
  • The spray arm becoming clogged, cracked, or broken

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Hello Rob. If you look at the middle picture of this on our site, the clip is shown in the center of the part. This clip can easily be broken off, requiring replacement of the part so you do have to be gentle with it. Gently use a screwdriver to pry it up slightly as you lift on the spray arm and it will come right out. The new spray arm will snap in without touching the clip.
