The Lint Filter is an OEM part for LG dryers. It is responsible for capturing lint and debris from the laundry, preventing it from clogging the dryer vent and providing easy cleaning. A bad lint filter can be caused by regular use and the accumulation of lint and debris over time. It may also become damaged if not cleaned regularly or if items such as coins or small objects accidentally get caught in the filter. Measures: about 12 in wide by 11 in high

Causes of a lint filter can include normal wear and tear over time, excessive lint buildup or clogging, or physical damage due to improper cleaning or handling.

Symptoms of a bad lint filter include:

  • Clothes taking longer than usual to dry.
  • Reduced airflow or poor drying efficiency.
  • Lint accumulating on the dryer drum or around the door.

This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.

Note: If your filter won't seat all the way down in the housing, order filter ADQ56656403. Due to manufacturer changes, in some cases, the filter guide MEA49050001 and filter cover MCK66787901 may also need to be replaced.

Molly for Model Number LG dryer DLE3170W

The lint filter in the LG dryer is labeled with the following model number. ADQ566564 The lint filter will no longer go completely into the space designed for it so clothes get caught on it and are twisted and ripped. I contacted LG and they said they would get back to me with a solution, but have never gotten back to me after 5 months and repeated contacts by my. Can you advise me of parts that would be necessary to fix this and if it is an easy do it yourself fix? Thank you for your help!

Nik_Dryer for Model Number dlg3751v

According to all information I've seen, the correct lint filter for a LG DLG3571V dryer is ADQ56656401. However, when I bought one, and tried to install it, I noticed a very slight difference in design. In my current version (which is broken, and all clothes are getting stuck and twisted in the plastic handle), there is a very slight indentation in the bottom side (the side that goes into the slot first). However, all new designs of ADQ56656401 do not have any indentation--they are straight. The ADQ56656401 is not fitting into the slot. Any suggestions?

Matt for Model Number DLEX3370W

The lint filter and housing on my LG DLEX3370W dryer, like everyone else's, broke and started snagging clothes. I'm trying to replace these two parts, but for the life of me I can't figure out all the pieces. I see that they have changed the housing design (to MCK49049101, which I bought). Great. Then, when that didn't fit, I learned they also changed the guide (to MEA49050001) and duct cover (to MCK66787901) so I bought those, too. Now I see that all three of those new parts work together ... but the lint filter itself (I had foolishly just bought another ADQ56656401 to replace the broken one) is too wide for the new housing. WHAT is the new lint filter model I need to buy to end this LG-induced misery??? Thanks for any help, and allowing me to vent against LG.

Jw. for Model Number Lint filter for LG dryer DLG 0452W

The pic of the lint filter shown for the DLG 0452W does not look like the one I have. Considering all the dryers I used over the years, the LG lint filter is the worst I ever seen. Whoever designed it certainly never did laundry. Who needs a filter with small squares and corners one can't remove lint from and the foam like substance surrounding the outside of the filter is just as unfriendly for removing lint. However, the screen tore and so I need a new lint filter. Hopefully LG has improved the product, please advise.
