Ron February 06, 2023 for Model Number dv50f9a6evw/a2 Hello, I have a Samsun dv50f9a6evw/a2 which is about 8 years old. The dryer worked perfectly a few days ago but today it will not heat up regardless of what setting it is on. The unit spins, there aren't any sounds/ smells that are out of the ordinary. I am able to change settings on the display panel just fine but the dryer does not heat up. I've disconnected the dryer from the power, flipped the circuit breaker, and tried different settings but I am still having the same issue. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Ron, if there is 240 VAC properly reaching the dryer, the main control would need to be accessed (the back panel of the console can be removed) to test the black wire and blue wire on relay RY7 for voltage during a heat cycle. If there is 240 VAC when running, the control (part number would be dependent on the REV number of your appliance) has failed. If the voltage is 0 VAC, the next step would be stopping the dryer and unplugging the power cord to test the thermostat, thermal fuse, and heater. The thermal fuse DC96-00887C and hi-limit thermostat DC47-00018A should have continuity at room temperature and the heating element DC47-00019A should measure 10 Ohms of resistance. If none of these parts fail testing, the motor DC31-00055G would be the cause of failure. Read More...
Darren December 22, 2018 I have Samsung dryer. It will continue to run even if power is off. Will not dry clothes. To stop I have to open door or unplug dryer
1 Answer Hello Darren, you'll want to test the output voltage on the relay that connects to the motor. If you get a positive voltage test to ground while the unit is not running, you more than likely have a defective relay and will need to replace the board. Hope this helps! Read More...

Laundry Queen June 14, 2018 for Model Number DV50F9A7EVW/A2-0000 Our dryer still operates correctly, but the display (LCD) does not properly light up all of the number display (time - example 8 looks like a 3) and other selectable options are dimly lit yet not selected.
1 Answer Laundry Queen, The issue with the display is an internal circuit failure. You will need to replace the DC92-01309C / DC92-01309C Assy Pcb SUB;SUB,F900A D to solve the issue. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks, Read More...
Joshua May 31, 2018 for Model Number DV50f9a7evw/a2 Just had the element replaced and now the dryer puts out high heat on any dry setting and once the time gets to the number 1, it continues drying until we open the door or turn off the dryer.
1 Answer Hello Joshua, This sounds like the unit is in the continuous run mode. During Continuous Run Mode, press Mixed Load Bell+ Dry Level for 7 seconds to go back to normal user mode. If this does not correct the issue, the control DC92-01310A is in question. Read More...

Gerald July 18, 2016 for Model Number DV50F97AEVW/A2 dryer worked perfectly until one load finished and we noticed a burnt electrical smell. took load out and closed door to restart. Readout on panel said door open and would not start. unplugged dryer for a while. when plugged back in no panel readout and absolutely nopower display.
1 Answer Hello Gerald. it sounds like the main control board is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
