Chris September 12, 2022 for Model Number FE-R500 WX/XAC Re: Infinite Switch DG44-01002A / Part # AP4337066 The original infinite switch has 9 terminals and 8 wires. The part I got (DG44-01002A) has 7 terminals. The wires I have are: Right side looking from back of switch, top to bottom: P1 - Double red S1 - Yellow I think ( can't see it well in the picture) P2 - Double Black Bottom of switch, right to left: S2 - Blue 4a - Darker Yellow or orange 4 - Brighter yellow Left side of switch bottom to top: Is it still 4? - Violet and Grey 2 - Blue Which wires need to be spliced together in order to connect all 8 wires to 7 terminals? Thanks.
1 Answer Chris, Based on what can be seen there is still the same number of connections between the 2 switchs. It sounds like the gray wire may just need to be taped off and not used on the new configuration. Read More...
Gary May 25, 2022 for Model Number ftq3521wux samsung stove switch The two large stove top burners cannot regulate temperature. There is an outer and inner element controlled separately by the same switch. Reading this I believe it is called a dual burner infinite switch. This is a smooth top range. What switch do I need please?
1 Answer Gary, the dual infinite burner switch is part number DG44-01002A for the model number provided. Read More...
Brian April 21, 2022 for Model Number FTQ386LWX Hello, I ordered a DG44-01002a switch for my stove. I read all Q&A but I still don’t know what to do with extra yellow wire. The old switch has 9 terminals but only use 8 of them however the new one only has 7 terminals. At old switch the terminal “4A” is connected to the orange wire. The terminal ”4” has two taps (terminal near “4A” is connected to the yellow wire and terminal near “2” is connected to violet and gray wires which already crimped together). The terminal “2” has two taps but only one is used and it is connected to the blue wire. What do I do with the yellow wire? I can purchase a 2 to 1 connector for the yellow wire but I need to know which terminal to connect. Option1: All three wires (violet, gray and yellow) go to terminal “4” (with 2 to 1 connector) Option2: Yellow and orange wires go to terminal “4A” (with 2 to 1 connector) Option3: Not connect the yellow wire (I don't like this option) Thanks!
1 Answer Brian, The P1 will get the double red wire, S1 will get the black and brown wire, P2 Will get double black wire, S2 will get the blue wire, 4a gets the violet wire, the 4 will get the yellow and violet w/grey stripe, and the number 2 terminal will get the blue wire. There are 2 terminals on the lower left corner where the 4 is and this is where the yellow and violet w/stripe will go. Read More...
Bill Smith January 12, 2022 for Model Number NE59N6630S My range is samsung NE59N6630S. There seem to be a prob with the front left double radiant heater, called "rapid boil". It works, but it seems that it does not get too hot, it shut-offs before it gets hot, so that one cannot really fast fry food. Instead, the food starts boiling. Could it be caused by a faulty infinite switch? What else can it be? e?
1 Answer Bill The heat regulation on these units will be done via the infinite switch but there is a thermal limiter on the element as well. In this situation the element would be more likely to be the issue. Read More...
Mark January 12, 2022 for Model Number mark.saxton@gmail.com I need two burners one is obvious as it is the triple burner which I believe should be the DG44-01007B and the front left which is a smaller burner with an extra cooking are so I suppose it's technically a double burner which looks like DG44-01005A. I pretty sure our stove model number is NE59J7850WS or an older version of that stove. Both burners automatically go to high no matter what they're set at.
1 Answer Mark, The triple burner will be part number DG47-00065A and the left front burner will be DG47-00024B. Read More...
Mike November 04, 2021 for Model Number NE59M4320SG/AA-00 My front left burner (double burner) only runs on high. Called Samsung twice and they said the part I needed was dg4401005b but this part was different from the part I needed. My regulator is white and has 7 terminals and the one they sent was green with 5 terminals. What is the correct part number?
1 Answer Mike, The front left infinite switch for your unit will be part number DG44-01002A. Read More...
Len September 27, 2021 for Model Number FE-R700WX-XAC I ordered a DG44-01002a switch for my stove. I have no spot for the yellow wire to connect to the old switch had three terminals the new one only two. What do I do with the yellow wire?
1 Answer Len, the infinite switch DG44-01002A should have a total of 7 terminals. There should be a terminal labeled P1 for L1 wire, P2 for L2 wire, 2 for L2 out to the element, 4 for the inner coil, 4a for the outer coil, S2 for the surface on indicator, and S1 for L1 to supply terminal S2. Gail September 05, 2021 for Model Number FE710DRS/xaa My front left fast boil burner stays on high regardless of knob setting. I purchased from you part DG44-01002A, which is the correct part. I know that Samsung made some design changes to this part. The terminals on the new design are approximately twice as long as the original part, therefore, the wiring plug only covers about half of the terminal. I do not want to create an electrical or fire hazard. Does having half of the terminal post exposed create any type of hazard?
1 Answer Gail, the infinite switch DG44-01002A is safe to utilize as per the manufacturer's design. There should be no issue as long as the terminals are secured as fully as possible. Read More...
