Mike July 23, 2012 for Model Number Magic Chef YG206KW I've installed this roller kit as the instructions with proper spacer and washer in the right roller support shaft and just a washer on the left roller support shaft. The left one has about 7mm of front to back play where the right one has only 3mm of front to back play. Is the left one correct with that much slop?
1 Answer Hello Mike, This might sound strange but the drum rollers are made this way. There is no problem with it. You see, the drum has ridges in it that the drum rollers try to follow. This keeps the drum rollers in the position they need to be in to operate properly. Read More...
Dave February 22, 2012 for Model Number Magic Chef mod.#YG20FN5 Do you have to remove the drum to replace the roller bearings, if so, what is best way to do this?
1 Answer Hello Dave. There is a way to replace the rollers without removing the drum. First disconnect the power and remove the front panel and the front bulk head assembly. Then pull the drum forward just a little bit and let it drop down in the back. Now you can access and replace the rollers LA-1008. Once installed, you will slide the drum back onto the top of the rollers and turn the drum by hand to center the belt on the unit. Then reassemble the dryer. Hope this helps. Read More...
