Manufacturer Part Number: WPW10128448

This G4 orifice holder mounts beneath the cooktop to secure the burner orifice and route gas from the valve to the burner head. Replacing a damaged holder helps restore proper gas flow and consistent burner performance.

  • Holds and aligns the orifice for the G4-designated surface burner
  • Channels metered gas from the valve to the burner head
  • Supports stable, even flame and reliable ignition at that burner
  • A worn, cracked, or stripped holder may cause weak/uneven flame, delayed ignition, or a gas odor near the burner
Includes: 1 orifice holder Install notes:
  • Disconnect power and shut off the gas supply before servicing; allow the appliance to cool
  • Remove burner caps/heads and access the holder
  • Transfer the existing orifice spud if reusing, or install the correct orifice specified for your gas type
  • Tighten fittings to spec and leak-test all gas connections with an approved solution before restoring service

When I try to light my one of the burners it will spark right away but not light immediately. I usually have to put on 2-3 burners at the same time, then after a about 10-15 seconds one of them may catch a small flame for another 10-15 seconds then all of them will fully light. Seems like there is a safety valve preventing the gas from flowing until a flame has been lite? Once the burner has been light you can turn it off and it will start right back up without delay as normal.

Hello Jklm2607, The first thing to try is clearing the orifices with a paper clip or safety pin. If there is nothing blocking the orifices, the next step is to clean the burner head and ignitor area with white vinegar and an old toothbrush. If the spark is nor white or blue you may need to open the unit and check the ignitor wiring and the ground to the burner heads.

Hello Mrs. W. That does not sound like a orifice issue. It sounds like the spark switches WP4456901 are bad and will need to be replaced. To replace these, the cooktop will need to be removed from the burner box.
