The Drum Mounting Hub is an OEM part for Whirlpool washing machines. This hub connects the washer drum to the drive system, allowing the drum to spin during the wash and spin cycles. The kit includes the drive block, drive hub, tub nut, hardware and instruction sheet.

Rafael, you will want to lay the unit on its back and check the splutch assembly on the unit. The cam ring may be broken and if this checks ok then this would likely be a shift actuator that would be faulty. The shift actuator will be part number WPW10006355.

Wrenchead for Model Number mvwc400xw3

My washer sounds fine on the wash cycle but is noise on the spin cycle. I removed the splutch assy and it doesn't seem worm but I do see some signs of white plastic fines/dust on the belt cover not sure on how to id if its worn other then broken teeth or unevenly worn teeth which I do not see the pulley on the splutch is flat not sure if there is belt groves on that pulley just as there is on the motor drive pulley, now if I spin the tube free hand I do hear some growling noise not sure if it normal or not what is your advice on this repair /// splucth kit or gear box ///

April, For this issue it would be a seal and bearing issue. You would need to replace the gearcase for this unit and is part number W11132267.

Paul, Yes the hub assembly would have to be removed in order to remove the inner tub of the unit along with the tub cover needing to be removed.

Hello Joe. Check the large pulley under the unit and make sure it has not dropped down and rubbing the cover. If not, then the gear box will need to be replaced on the unit.
