Gilbert May 22, 2016 for Model Number Model no. LWS17NW-1000 The rinse cycle does not work on my Speed Queen Washer. Everything else works. Could it be the water inlet? The water enters normal for washing.
1 Answer Gilbert, You will want to check the screens on the water valve to make sure that they are not clogged with debris which could cause the unit to not allow water to enter during the rinse since it uses a cold water rinse. Read More...
Mike October 22, 2015 Looking to replace my Water Inlet Valve on my AMANA LWA90AW to correct an error code of SH. Was told to check the Thermistor on the water valve. Couldn't tell if there was one on your replacement part # RO131578 kit. Will replacing this valve remove the error code that keeps coming on? I have tried the unplug and rest for 30 min, but it still keeps coming back on. Thanks!!!!
Mike S February 19, 2015 for Model Number PLWA90AW My washer is displaying code SH. I have unplugged the unit and let it sit for 30mins and eventually the code comes back. Do I need to replace the mixing valve? Kit AP4248017 thanks.
1 Answer Mike, The issue with the unit getting the SH error would be with the thermistor which is located on the water channel that puts the water into the tub. The part number is 38861 but has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Craig October 22, 2014 Just need to know what to take apart on the washer in order to get to the mixing valve on the Amana lwa20aw. I've done this before but don't remember. Thanks!!!
1 Answer Hello Craig. There is a access plate that you remove the screw from. Then pull the valve out and replace it in the unit. These are not hard to replace. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Tim. If there is power coming to the hot valve, and no water, and the screens are clear, you will need to replace the valve on the unit. Read More...
Howard December 28, 2013 for Model Number ALW780QAW Amana top load washer The electrice tabs on the new part are parallel to the valve instead of perpendicular, therefore, the common electric jumper wire is not long enough to make the connection. Can the solenoid tabs be "re-oriented"?
1 Answer Howard, The tabs on the terminal can be bent but they cannot be turned around due to how the valve is made. Read More...
Carl October 27, 2013 for Model Number amana lwa90al We came home tonight and found our washer was running over with water but it wasn't running. I think its the mixing valve. We wasn't using it at the time.
Tom July 09, 2012 for Model Number ALW880QAW Hi: My washer fills on "cold" and "warm" settings fine, but barely fills at all on "hot". Water supply pressure for both hot and cold is good, screens are clean and in good shape, power good to both solenoids, I assume I need a new mixing valve??
1 Answer Hello Tom. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve R0131578 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit. Read More...
Kinnon May 12, 2012 for Model Number lwa05aw Replacement mixing valve ap4248017 does not fit the wiring because the plugs for power are facing the wrong way. I'm going to spice an extra piece of wire in to make it work but doesn't work as a direct replacement. Have any other suggestions?
1 Answer Hi Kinnon. This valve kit comes with instructions and mount adapter plate to use if your model needs it. Try removing the wire connector out of the inner cabinet wire circle to work with it better if it is tight in the harness. Use a tie wrap to keep it tight after connection so it does not rub bare. Thank You. Read More...
Bob M March 28, 2012 for Model Number lwa65aw cold water does not work have plenty presure screen is clean is it the mixing valve??????? dont have the manual. looking for the part number also
2 Answers Hello Bob. If there is power coming to the water valve, and no cold water is coming in, then yes, you will need to replace the water valve R0131578. You will need to test this when the machine is on, and it is calling for cold water fill. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
