Bob April 13, 2020 for Model Number KSRS25IKWH03 I have KitchenAid model KSRS25IKWH03. The ice dispenser does not work properly. It dispenses cubes OK but when trying to dispense crushed ice it will stop. If I jiggled the auger and go back to cubes it works OK for cubes. Do I need to replace the auger motor or is there some other possible issue?
1 Answer Bob, I would check the dispenser auger to maker sure nothing is in a bind and stopping the motor, if not it could very well be a weak motor. Read More...
Jon April 08, 2020 for Model Number GSS26C5XXY00 I have a Whirlpool Gold Fridge. Ice Dispenser has stopped dispensing ice. I have already eliminated the Actuator and Motor. There is no power at the motor and I can see the motor two wires emerge at the bottom of the door and go under the refridgerator. Is there another part I need to check as to why there is no voltage at my motor? Will I be looking for a relay or solenoid of some kind are will I find these two wire lead to a control board or similar?
1 Answer Jon, it is recommended that the wires at the hinge are inspected for any signs of a broken wire. If the ice dispenser paddle WPW10370594 tests as having continuity when pressed, there is not a broken wire, and the door chute motor opens when the dispenser paddle is pressed then the most likely cause of failure would be the main control WPW10235488. The main control can be tested for voltage output to the motor using connection P3 pin 7 (red probe of meter) and pin 8 (black probe of meter). If there is 140VDC, then there would be a wiring issue. If there is not 140VDC, then the main control has failed. Read More...
John August 25, 2019 for Model Number GD25DIXHT00 My Whirlpool Refrigerator is model # GD25DIXHT00. The original ice auger motor # 2198594 is bad. Your video showed the removal of auger motor # 2198594 and replacement with auger motor # 2188868. I tried auger motor # 2188868 which mounted fine, but since it is a taller motor, my wire harness connector was significantly too short. I tried to pull any excess to make it reach but there was none. Do you have a direct replacement that more closely matches the original so the wiring plug will reach? Thanks. John
1 Answer Hello John, for your model, the auger motor is part [2198594] which the manufacturer subs to part [W11170227], and is our replacement part W11170227. Read More...

Barry March 20, 2018 for Model Number Whirlpool 2262363 I have a Whirlpool 2212363 ice maker auger that I am fairly sure is bad. Do you have the wiring diagram or details on the pins so I can check it properly?
1 Answer Hello Barry, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to please post a new question including the verified Complete model number from the units' I.D. tag since the one provided will not come up for us as a valid model number. Kathy February 06, 2018 for Model Number wp2212363 I have tried to take out my old motor but the electrical plug goes into the fridge below the motor, not to the side like in the video. There is not enough room for the motor to slide out. Does the electrical unplug from the fridge as well as the motor?
1 Answer Kathy, You have to slide the motor past this electrical connector and will be tight but will come out. This will be the only way to get the motor out. Read More...
Dennis February 02, 2018 for Model Number 2212363 After removing the motor and shaft, I pulled the top bracket from under the ice bin, and a small spring fell out. Where does that spring belong? I can't get the parts to go back together.
1 Answer Hello Dennis, I'm sorry but we will need to ask you to post a new question including the Complete model number from your units' I.D. tag so we can pull the diagrams necessary for a proper diagnosis. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Zeke November 09, 2017 for Model Number GD5DHAXVY 00 (Model # GD5DHAXVY 00) My ice despenser is not working. Replaced the auger motor to no avail. I get power through the switch at the top of the ice dispenser arm (verified continuity, and even LED panel lights up when switch engaged). There does not appear to be any power deliverred to the auger motor when the dispenser arm is depressed (verified no current), but I do hear a delayed set of clicks (two) at about 1/2 sec interval when dispenser arm is pushed. Any ideas on a next step? Thank you!
1 Answer Zeke, You will want to check to make sure that the paddle is hitting the switch on the dispenser bracket and if it is then this issue will most likely be in the control board of that bracket which would be part number W10677673. Read More...
