The Pump and Drive Belt Kit is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool washing machines. The Pump and drive belt kit is responsible for helping to drain water from the washer drum during the wash cycle. The pump and drive belt kit works by powering the washer's pump to remove water from the drum and out of the washer. The drive belt provides the power to turn the pump, while the pump helps to drain the water. The kit includes 1 pump belt and 1 drive belt.

This part fixes the following symptoms:

  • Standing water in the washer drum
  • Ineffective or non-existent water drainage
  • Potential water damage or flooding caused by a faulty pump or drive belt

Causes of needing to replace the pump and drive belt kit include normal wear and tear over extended use, exposure to debris or foreign objects, or physical damage from impact or mishandling.

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore washer models.

Hello Louis, You should check to try to find the leak. It sounds like it may be coming from the tub seal 6-2040130. With washer filled with water and front panel off check under unit to see if you can detect the leak.

Hello Kevin. Yes, if there is nothing wrong with the tub bearing, then it sounds like the motor is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.

Dale, Sounds and acts like a tub bearing 6-2040130 tub seal 6-2095720 issue, or a small article is stuck between the tubs, causing the tub to drag and the drive belt to heat up and produce an odor. You'll need a spanner wrench TB123B, but the time and expense may be worth it. We'll send you some basic information so you'll have a better idea of what to expect. Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Randy, This is most probably a spin bearing/outer tub seal issue. You see, when the tub assembly opposes rotation, the belt will start to slip because the motor is on a spring loaded slide assembly. To verify my hypothesis, let the unit go completely through the spin cycle then feel of the bottom of the outer tub beside where the transmission goes into the bottom of the tub. If it's hot, it's the spin bearing. If it isn't hot, take the belt off of the drain pump and turn it by hand. If it has something in it, it will oppose rotation. If it feels rough, it could either have a foreign object inside it or a bad bearing. Normally, the motor will have nothing to do with a rubber burning smell. If the motor is responsible for any smell, it will be an electrical burning smell.

John, Thanks for the update, it's a lot easier now. The belts for the washer are: WP211948,WP211451 the water valve, Y205684 . These are the most likely parts needed, at this point. The other 240v 50 hrz parts are listed in the APP Parts Diagram for the model number you supplied ( diagram #6 , Export Parts 240v 50hz), Thanks and Good Luck
